Personal Profile
中国医科大学公共卫生学院院长,环境应激与慢病防控教育部重点实验室建设点负责人,环境毒理学研究室主任,教授,博士生导师。美国国立环境健康科学研究院“杰出青年基金(NIEHS-ONES Award)”获得者,辽宁省高等学校“攀登学者”、沈阳市“外专百人”及“领军人才”,获“辽宁友谊奖”。1990和1995年分别获得中国医科大学预防医学学士和劳动卫生/职业病学硕士学位;2002年获得日本筑波大学医科学(环境生态系)博士学位;2002-2006年先后在美国NIEHS和哈姆纳健康科学研究院从事博士后研究;2006年始在美国哈姆纳健康科学研究院先后任Research Investigator、助理研究员和副研究员。2013年底以团队方式引进中国医科大学,担任公共卫生学院教授/院长。曾任美国毒理学会干细胞分会主席以及多家SCI学术期刊编委或专刊的客座主编。现任中国毒理学会工业毒理专业委员会和生化与分子毒理专业委员会副主任委员、《Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology》杂志副主编、专刊主编及《Toxicology Reports》杂志副主编。
长期致力于环境氧化应激的健康效应及机制研究,聚焦转录因子Nrf2和Nrf1介导的适应性应激反应在重金属毒性、糖尿病、肥胖、骨质疏松和癌症等慢性病发生、发展、转归中的作用及相关机制,并以Nrf2/1为主要干预靶点,开展防治策略和方法研究。应用原创细胞特异性Nrf2基因敲除小鼠和细胞模型及计算毒理学方法,较为系统地研究了ROS和 Nrf2 在糖尿病发病机制中的作用,明确提出环境氧化应激可通过持续诱导活化内源性抗氧化系统,钝化生理性ROS信号传导,阻碍胰岛素分泌和功能发挥,促发糖尿病的发生发展。同时发现环境氧化应激通过活化Nrf2/1,影响C/EBPβ和/或PPARγ2的表达,干扰脂肪细胞新生和糖脂代谢稳态调控。专业特长为适应性抗氧化反应的分子调控机制,对Nrf2和Nrf1介导的抗氧化反应有系统深入研究,发现了Nrf2/1对糖脂代谢调控的新机制,并建立了Nrf2-ARE高通量筛选平台,揭示不同亚型Nrf2/1在抗氧化反应、炎症反应、蛋白稳态等重要共性生理机制中的关键调控作用及机制,主要研究成果发表在EHP、Diabetes、Redox Biology等学术期刊,共发表学术论文140余篇,其中SCI论文/英文论著120余篇、申请专利3项,论文它引7500余次。作为项目负责人承担科研项目有:美国国立环境健康科学研究院“杰出青年”研究基金(NIEHS-ONES Award)、美国国立糖尿病消化系肾脏研究院(NIDDK)青年基金(K01 Award);中国国家自然科学基金重点项目、重点国际合作项目、面上项目,科技部“重大慢性非传染性疾病防控研究”重点专项课题等。另外,参与和领导完成了多项由美国化学工业协会及国际知名化工企业资助的研究课题。
环境毒理学研究室基于海外引进团队始建13年,历经成长、分化和再扩员,现有成员7人,其中教授2人,副教授3人,青年教师2人,博士生导师2人,硕士生导师5人。目前在站博士后2人,在读博士研究生7人,硕士研究生35人。研究室长期致力于环境应激的健康效应及机制研究,主要研究方向包括: (1)代谢性疾病发病机制及防治策略和方法研究,(2) 环境氧化应激与慢性病发生发展的关系及机制研究; (3)适应性抗氧化反应调控机制及应用研究;(4)计算毒理学方法及应用研究。近年发表高水平学术论文 (中科院II区及以上) 30余篇。研究团队先后获得国家自然科学基金重点和国际合作重点项目等9项、博士后特别资助和国际交流引进项目各1项,省部级课题等8项。具体项目信息如下:
